We worked with Dingle Harbour Cottages to develop a distinctive brand identity and position it as the ideal place to stay when visiting the stunning town of Dingle, Co. Kerry. Located beside the harbour and just a short walk from the town centre, the cottages have been recently refurbished and modernised. Our aim was to showcase not only the accommodation itself, but also Dingle town and everything it has to offer.

The logo draws inspiration from the harbour’s buoys, with typography that reflects the movement of the ocean. An accompanying stamp was designed for use across selected applications. We also contributed to elements within the cottages themselves, extending the colour palette to the doors and advising on door numbers, as well as the use of traditional maritime brass bells in place of standard doorbells — enhancing the sense of warmth, authenticity, and place.

Built around the copy line “Your Dingle home from home,” we carried out a three-day shoot capturing every aspect of the Dingle experience — from its breathtaking scenery and vibrant shops to its pub culture and wide range of activities, as well as the cottages themselves. This culminated in a promotional video which intrinsically links the cottages and their proximity to the harbour, with Dingle.

We wanted to bring the warmth and maritime aesthetics of the identity into a range of merchandise which included beach towels, wash bags and a promotional print piece, along with the design of the livery. We collaborated with Séan Mongey of Estd on the website which really captures the charm of the identity in a playful yet highly functional manner.

Key deliverables included brand positioning and narrative, photography and video direction, brand video, guidelines, website direction, social media templates, print materials, livery design, and merchandise.
