Following a merger between CPA and Chartered Accountants Ireland, two highly respected professional accountancy bodies, CI Studio was chosen to reinvent its brand and better align with its bold vision of educating, developing and inspiring future generations of chartered accountants. The existing identity, did not fully convey the forward-looking nature of its work or its ambition to shape the future of business through innovation.
Our objective was to transform the unified organisation into a dynamic, trusted business leadership collective—one whose members positively impact business, the economy, and society and to fully convey its ambition to help steer the future of business through innovation.
The new identity system draws inspiration from navigational iconography, introducing gradients and grid-based blocks of colour that blur and move, creating a suite of vibrant and flexible backgrounds to all communications. It embodies the concepts of charting and guiding, rooted in the North Star—a universal symbol of hope, direction, and constancy.
The word Chartered is highlighted in a new, dynamic blue, taking ownership of the term and enabling a cohesive branding system across partner organisations. The roundel itself is a graphic representation of the North Star: leading, guiding, and inspiring.
The refreshed identity system comprises a newly developed logo suite, a technology and navigation-inspired colour palette, and the introduction of Bagoss as the primary brand typeface. Together, these elements form a flexible and cohesive visual framework, designed to function confidently across a broad and varied communications landscape.
Brand activation extended beyond visual expression to include a comprehensive suite of guidelines, core brand assets, and adaptable templates for use across digital and print communications, as well as wayfinding and environmental signage.
The result is a robust and future-facing system, designed to support clarity, consistency, and long-term growth. This visual solution enables Chartered Accountants Ireland to communicate clearly and confidently with diverse audiences. The tagline, Trusted Business Leadership, encapsulates its mission to become Ireland’s leading professional body, delivering exceptional education, support, and inspiration to current and future chartered accountants.
